Browse your port adventures

Visit your Disney Cruise's 'My Plans' page as normal. ExcursionAlert adds a "Watch Availability" button to every port adventure, onboard activity, premium dining option, and spa treatment.

Watch the ones you want

Click Watch on any sold-out or conflict-blocked events. Choose specific timeslots or watch them all.

Get alerted instantly

When a spot opens up, you get a browser notification and, with Cruise Pass, also get an instant push notification on your phone.

Getting started

Install the extension

Add ExcursionAlert to your preferred browser. No account or sign-up required.

Visit your Disney Cruise's 'My Plans' page

Log in to disneycruise.disney.go.com and navigate to your booking's available activities. ExcursionAlert automatically detects your session - you'll see your reservation number appear in the extension popup.

Important: You need to visit this page at least once each browser session for ExcursionAlert to pick up your login credentials. After that, it monitors in the background automatically.

Start booking an activity to populate your party's names

Click Select on any activity and proceed far enough into the booking flow that you see the names of everybody on your reservation listed - then back out without reserving it. This lets ExcursionAlert learn everyone's names so you can filter alerts by who's joining each activity.

You don't need to complete the booking. Just getting to the guest selection screen is enough. ExcursionAlert picks up the names automatically in the background.

Click "Watch Availability" on any excursion or activity you can't currently book

ExcursionAlert adds a Watch Availability button next to the Select button on every activity card. Click it on anything you want to monitor - sold out, conflict-blocked, or just keeping an eye on.

You can filter by specific timeslots and choose which people the slot needs to accommodate.

Let it run

ExcursionAlert checks availability every 5, 10, or 15 minutes (your choice). When a spot opens up, you'll get a browser notification immediately.

Keep a browser window open with your Disney Cruise tab loaded, or check back periodically - the extension polls while the tab is active. The more browsers you have open across devices, the better your coverage.

(Optional) Activate your Cruise Pass

Once you receive your Cruise Pass license key from Gumroad via email, click on the 'Account' tab of the extension and enter the key to start watching more than one excursion/activity or to set up push notifications to your phone (see more below). Your Cruise Pass license is linked to the cruise reservation, not you personally, so it can be used by anybody who is on your reservation. They just have to follow these same steps.

Set up phone notifications (Cruise Pass)

With a Cruise Pass license, ExcursionAlert can send push notifications directly to your phone via ntfy - a free, open-source notification service. This means you'll get alerted even if you step away from your computer.

  1. Download the free ntfy app on your phone - available for iPhone and Android.
  2. Choose a unique topic name for yourself - something nobody else is likely to use, like smith-family-alaska-2026. You don't create an account; the topic name is the only identifier.
  3. In the ntfy app, tap + and subscribe to your topic name.
  4. In ExcursionAlert, open the popup, go to Settings, and enter your topic name in the "ntfy push to phone" field.
  5. Click Send Test to confirm notifications are arriving on your phone, then save your settings.
  6. If you use Focus modes (iPhone) or Do Not Disturb schedules (Android) that limit which apps can surface notifications, make sure to add ntfy to the allowed apps list for those modes - otherwise you may miss an alert when availability opens up.
Privacy note: ntfy topics are public by default - anyone who knows your topic name can subscribe to it. Choose something non-obvious. If you want end-to-end privacy, ntfy also supports self-hosted servers, but that's beyond the scope of most users.
